Brayden Deely’s parents couldn’t convince him to sit on Santa’s lap. So to give Brayden the full experience, Santa went the extra mile by getting on the ground.
I can only imagine how difficult it is as a parent to have an autistic child. And as a parent, you’re gonna want your child to have beautiful experiences. So this must have felt really great. Kudos to the Santa for going the extra mile and really connecting with the child. Being patient and giving him a great experience. It’s really the little things that go a long way. That’s the Christmas spirit.
I love videos like this so much. I work with students with autism and I know how important it is for them to have experiences like this. Just because they can’t handle crowds and high-stress situations, doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have the same experiences as other children. Things have to be done differently, but it can be done. It warms my heart to see people who work so hard to make it happen for these kids.
It is very difficult to take care of an autistic child. Very stressful and even painful sometimes but its all worth it. This Santa goes the extra mile and does a fantastic jobgiving extra love and compation!
