In this documentary, I visit the wild and weird island of Penang. Taking a city walk around the tourist area, seeing 2-meter-long monitor lizards, visiting Kek Lok Si Temple (Southeast Asia’s largest), trying out different restaurants, talking to shop owners, touring the old British Quarter of Georgetown with an old friend and hiking through Penang National Park to visit the turtle hatchery, are all highlights of this hour-long journey into one of Southeast Asia’s hidden gems.
This film is part two of the Travel Geek: Documentary Malaysia series. Part One was released last Monday, Travel Geek Short: Malacca. And hopefully I’ll be able to crank out the next edition, Travel Geek Short: Kuala Lumpur, by next Monday.
